Royal Mail carries out the delivery of mails and small packages of up to 2 kg. Larger parcels (from 2 to 30 kg) are shipped by Parcelforce which is the part of Royal Mail. 

Types of delivery offered by Royal Mail

First class Mail. The delivery term is one day (including Saturday). 

Second class Mail. The delivery terms is 2-3days. 

Delivery of parcels. Parcelforce delivers the parcels around Britain the next business day. The international delivery terms depend on the destination country. 

Sameday courier service delivery. The package reaches the addressee on the same day. 

Royal Mail ships small packages under 2 kg. The package size should be no smaller than 140 X 90 mm and no larger than 600 X 600 X 600 мм. Royal Mail has its own online store. There are stamps, envelopes and other postal products.

Tracking packages 

Royal Mail customers can track the statuses of their orders. All they need to do it is to know the tracking number. Royal Mail’s tracking number looks like this: 

RYXXXXXXXXXGB,

where Y is any letter XXXXXXXXX is a 9-digit code. GB means Great Britain. 

To track the number, go to "Track your item" section. The number must be submitted in the corresponding field. Then click "Track your delivery" button. However, it’s not possible to check the destination country with the tracking number.
